Chinese private jet market shows tremendous promise
According to experts, the demand for private jets in China is taking off.
The Chinese private jet market began to boom in 2009 and has since demonstrated steady growth, according to the CEO and chairman of China Business Aviation Group Jason Liao.
Liao said that there were less than 30 private jets in China in 2007. From 2009 to 2011, Liao said more than 80 were delivered to the nation. Additionally, he forecasted 70 to 80 more deliveries by the end of 2012. Liao expects the industry to grow by 25 percent in the next years.
Liao’s optimism is shared by some popular plane manufacturers. According to Dassault Falcon’s president and CEO John Rosanvallon, China is the company’s largest market in terms of new aircraft orders.
Embraer, on the other hand, predicts that it will deliver 470 private jets to China between 2010 and 2020.
